A designated event is approaching in which you want to be flawless. It is worth going to a site run by good professionals who guarantee impeccable execution and in which they bet on the best quality fabrics ...Come and meet our charming human team with more than 80 years of accumulated experience.

By way of introductory note that We put at your disposal 4 types of suits that we explain in greater detail throughout the post:

  1. tailoring suit or Ready to Wear
  2. Suit Made to order
  3. Suit Made to measure
  4. Suit Bespoke

 1. READY TO WEAR SUIT (RTW)

WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF AND WHAT SUIT OPTIONS DO YOU HAVE IN STORE?

Collection of suits made with 100% wool Super S110's fabrics from the Italian house Vitale Barberis Canonico; made with a pattern calibrated and perfected by our team of pattern makers. In this case, it would be the shoulders of each client that define the appropriate size for each one; That is, we would try on the client - once the suit model had been selected - different sizes and we would advise him on the one that fit him perfectly on the shoulders. Once the correct size was chosen, the garment would be adjusted to the client's body measurements so that it would fit perfectly.

These are garments with very high quality finishes, such as our notch and spear point lapels, interfacing and non-fused interiors, practicable buttonholes, among many other details that will not go unnoticed.

As an additional important detail to emphasize, The repairs and repairs that are required are included in the price and we do them in our own workshop, we do not outsource.

We have suit models in both 2-piece format (€469,95) and 3-piece format (€ 569,95).

You can see some of our suit models in the following link: Tailoring Suits.
IMPORTANT: We have more models in store that are not available on the website.

HOW EARLY DO I NEED TO GO TO OLD JEFFREY IF I CHOOSE THIS TYPE OF SUIT?

If this is the selected option, we would recommend coming to Old Jeffrey at least 2 weeks in advance, since once we have adjusted the garment in store it would take us approximately 1 week to work on it.

After the week of repairs, we would make an appointment to try on the suit. If any additional adjustment is required due to the appearance of small wrinkles and in order to "fine tune" the garment, we would need an additional week to leave the garment perfect.

In general, for this type of suit, a single test is almost always enough, however, we always recommend coming to see us with that extra time in case any additional adjustment is needed.

 2. MADE TO ORDER SUIT (MTO)

WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF?

In this case, we want to introduce a new intermediate service between clothing and custom tailoring and that we think may be interesting.

That is, based on the pattern of our tailoring suits, we give the option of making a new suit from scratch by selecting the fabric, as well as influencing some details of the garment design. Service is an ideal service for:

  1. Clients who like our tailoring pattern but, nevertheless, are looking to choose the fabric with which they would like to make their new suit.
  2. Customers with marked difference in size between jacket and pants. In this case, they could request the tailoring of the jacket and pants independently and in the appropriate size.

The casuistry of said process would be the following:

  1. Pattern test and size detection. We would summon him in our tailor shop to try on our pattern and, based on this, we would detect his size, separately, both for a jacket, pants and vest. Based on said sizing, we would define the adjustments to be made on the pattern and, based on these, we would make a new suit from scratch for you.
  2. fabric selection. In this case, it would be the fabric that would mark the final PVP of the suit. In this case, we have a large number of fabric references in store.

WHAT OPTIONS OF MADE TO ORDER SUIT DO YOU HAVE AND WHAT IS THE PRICE?

There are endless options! Regarding the price of the made-to-order suits, and as we have had the opportunity to comment in the previous point, it would be approximately €800 for the 2-piece suit and €1050 for the 3-piece suit .

HOW EARLY DO I NEED TO GO TO OLD JEFFREY IF I CHOOSE THIS TYPE OF SUIT?

If this is the selected option, we would recommend coming to Old Jeffrey 2 months in advance, since it would take us 5 weeks to make the garment from scratch and, once made, we would make an appointment at Old Jeffrey to try it on. There is the possibility of shortening the times depending on each case and under specific requests - in this case, you would have the opportunity to discuss it directly with our tailoring team.

In any case, we always recommend If possible, organize the process at least 2 months in advance in order to ensure that you go more calmly and, above all, enjoy the process.

Once the garment is made, we would use the first test to detect, if any, any wrinkles or, on the contrary, if the garment was perfect. If any adjustment is required due to the appearance of small wrinkles and with the aim of "tuning" the garment, we would need a week of rigor to carry out the adjustments.

In general, a single "batch" of adjustments will almost always suffice, however we always recommend coming in with that extra time in case any additional adjustments are needed.

3. MADE TO MEASURE SUIT (MTM)

We move forward with our custom tailoring service Made to measure, where our tailors will take the measurements with the help of a suit called "witness" which we have digitized in our central computer and we will proceed to make the anatomical modifications, modifying that base pattern so that it becomes the exclusive pattern of our client.

In this type of suits, you can customize absolutely everything, the shape and width of the lapels, the pattern of the pockets, the model of pants and vest, in addition to choosing all the trimmings, such as the lining, the felpic, the buttons. and the thread with which said buttons are sewn as well as embroidering the initials on the inside of the jacket.

WHAT MTM SUIT OPTIONS DO I HAVE AND WHAT IS THE PRICE?

There are countless options! Regarding the price of the made-to-measure suits, and as we have had the opportunity to comment in the previous point, it would be approximately €1100 for the suit in 2-piece format and €1450 for the suit in 3-piece format. .

4. BESPOKE SUIT

As a final rank, we are proud to have our tailoring line Bespoke, Also known as Craft measure

In this case, our tailors would take anatomical measurements directly from the client and design the suit with the purest details of traditional custom tailoring, that is, hand-made buttonholes and stitching, completely interlined interior without any type of glue or fusing, cupro or viscose linings, plain or printed, etc.

For this type of tailoring we require at least 3 months to have the garments finished since, once we take the measurements, we will manually design the client's pattern in our workshop and, later, we will carry out the manual cutting of the garment.

After the cutting process, the assembly of the pieces will be carried out by means of basting and loose stitches and a first test that we call "of aplombs" will be made; At this point, we will have the skeleton of the garment - sleeveless in the case of the frock coat and without finishing the lengths and widths in the case of the pants and the vest.

Once the "poise" test has been carried out, it is our turn: we will work in the workshop in order to correct details, incorporate the sleeves and finish making the garment.

Immediately afterwards, the client would be summoned for a second "tuning" test and, in the event that there were any small additional details to be corrected, a third definitive test would be carried out before delivering the perfect garment to the client.

WHAT BESPOKE SUIT OPTIONS DO I HAVE AND WHAT IS THE PRICE?

In this particular case we work under a prior budget that will be evaluated and notified to the client after their informative appointment in which they tell us what design and manufacturing requirements they are looking for. In any case, the price for this type of garment starts at €3000 for the 2-piece format and €3800 for the 3-piece format.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MADE TO MEASURE SERVICE AND BESPOKE

The difference between both methodologies lies, mainly, in the preparation process after taking the client's measurements; We explain it below.

  1. Preparation of the pattern after taking the client's measurements. In the case of Made to Measure tailoring, to obtain the client's pattern, we use witnesses with a base pattern from which we make corrections and obtain the client's final pattern. On the other hand, in the Bespoke tailoring service, taking measurements is direct and obtaining the pattern is manual and is carried out through calculations and generation of curvatures based on tailor's rules.

  2. Cutting of the fabric. For the Made to Measure tailoring case, the pattern obtained for each client is digitized and the scrap of fabric chosen to make the garment is cut very precisely by a cutting machine. On the contrary, in the Bespoke service, our tailor will cut the garment manually with special tailor's scissors for this purpose.

  3. Garment assembly. In the case of Made To Measure tailoring, our sewing team is made up of 10 people who will carry out the final preparation of the garment. For this case, each member of the team will specialize in a part of the garment (sleeves, front, etc.) and, ultimately, the garment is assembled together. In this process, the sewing will be carried out in a mixed way, that is, long stitches with a sewing machine and details finished by hand. On the other hand, in the case of artisanal tailoring (Bespoke), the complete tailoring will be carried out manually by our specialized tailor.
